PROFILE - GM ||
Game Management ProfileGM duties are currently a shared affair, between the 3 Game leads, Admirals Frost, James and McMullen. In Game, Admiral McMullen command the Damocles, with Cdr Anderson played by Admiral James, and Frosty taking a back seat playing as a simple helm officer. We all scheme together to get each other's input, and also have players who are interested in helping guide the sim's direction on a Development Board. So, lots of us cooks in the kitchen. Profile - Rear Admiral Robert "Hood" McMullenRear Adm. Robert "Hood" McMullen-Rob entered into the Omega Fleet years ago as a freshly minted Lt.Commander to fill the Chief of Security and Tactical Role on the USS Venture. Shortly, he was bumped to Commander and assigned as First Officer for the Defiant Class USS Oblivion, but upon arrival and a rather bizarre scuffle, he found himself in COMMAND of her instead. Oblivion to this day remains Rob's first true love, it is where he met his Wife (And Chief Engineer) Sam McMullen and she has found her way back into his life several times over the years. Promoted to Command of the USS Venture, Rob was promoted from Captain, to Fleet Captain, and then to Rear Admiral (Whilst openly questioning the sanity of Command for doing so). When the Damocles project was handed to him, he was sure he was destined for a desk...instead it seems the greatest adventure of all awaits him....Robert is a joker at heart, and enjoys a good laugh, even at his expense. He feels that laughter is good for the soul, and his never ending parade of Practical jokes keeps his officers on their toes. Provoked or angered, however, he becomes focussed and hard,sometimes with uncontrollable rage, a side rarely seen.He sees the "Diamond in the rough" that his First Officer is, and is very happy with how the "polishing" is going.Rob also places great faith in the abilities of his officers. To him, they are family. He practises the ancient martial art known as Tae Quan Leap ;-) and has a bizarre Elvis fixation...(even in the 24th Century...he's the King!) Profile - Commander Ellie AndersonCmdr Ellie Anderson first served as Admiral McMullen's XO on a special mission into the Mirror Universe aboard the USS Oblivion. On their successful return, she was offered the position of Chief of Ops aboard the Flagship, the USS Venture. When the Dawnspring Group (8th Fleet) was formed and the USS Damocles refitted and launched, she found herself back in a familiar role! Ellie is a 'yin' to Rob's 'yang' so they work well as a team. When she first transferred into the Omega Family fresh from a tough tour of duty in the Typhon Sector, she was socially introverted having always buried herself in her Starfleet career. She is a relatively young full Commander, but has paid for her rapid advancement by not having had much time for the lighter side of life. Her first encounter with Rob's sense of humour was something of a 'shock' to her (literally!), but over her time in the 7th and 8th Fleets, she has blossomed (and even got her own back once or twice, too!). Having recently recovered from an unrequited infactuation with the previous occupant of the XO's chair (Alex Ramius), the Gamma quadrant will offer Anderson still more opportunities to make friends and perhaps she will become the life and soul of the party that she has always secretly longed to be. Future of the USS DamoclesWell, okay, here's what awaits us. The Dawnspring. What is that? A primordial nebulae and feeding and breeding ground. Strange spaceborne life forms live there. Stationed nearby it is the Avarice Coil, a port of call for gamblers, freebooters, illicit traders, tourists, and the like. Run by mercenaries that would make the Ferengi look like amateurs, this station has only ever seen the Dawnspring as a tourist attraction, and a place out of the way of most trade routes. With a stable wormhole, and an unparalleled scientific discovery to contend with, it will fall to the crews of the USS Damocles, and the soon to be renovated Starbase Aurora to establish relations and a permenent presence in the area.
