History
of MMF Achilles
Achilles started in August 2004, as the first command of then Cmdr. Logan Campbell. It's charge was to provide Security to the then conflict weary sectors of Thunderfleet. Since then, she has gone through 3 incarnations, whether due to class retirement, or outright destruction at the hands of yet to be known enemies.
Some of the bumps on the way have been character changes (we've had a number of writers who have left simming altogether due to RL circumstance.) The other has been stagnation as happens with most sims from time to time.

What's Happening Now?
Currently, we are aiding a romulan ship in distress while trying to quell numerous upheavals in the Neutral Zone between Fed and Romulan Territory. A large number of splinter groups have been fighting it out for dominance, and civilian lives are at stake. So far with this first rescue attempt, we have already been threatened by the wounded, attacked by enemy ships, discovered a Klingon undercover operative, and it seems that Cmdr. Lura T'ael's family may be behind it! Stay tuned ...

Trevor Campbell has been running the Achilles from day 1. I have been simming since 1998. My first sim was the U.S.S. Hiroshima, which was part of a simming group called Starquest.When not writing, I'm either gunning down rebel scum on SWG, or tearing up noobs on xbox live. I also squeeze in family time when I can.

Dr. Xia Mei, Chief Medical Officer. Xia has also brought her own flavor of medicine to the ship. Hard, yet very knowledgeable and never one to gamble with life. Xia is also very hard on her subordinates, but only to bring the best out of them, which she does every day. Xia aldo brings a medical angle to every story we have ran since she came on board, which is very refreshing to see.

Lura T'ael, Achilles XO. Lura brings a new dynamic to the ship, being a former member of Romulan forces. The character is likely to meet people that she once fought against, such as her own Captain and Chief Engineer, though none of the three are aware of this yet.She also has a shadowed past, one we're hoping to explore more through the current story.

Future of the MMF Achilles
Right now, we are looking into building a long term story with the stabilization of the Neutral zone. WIth any luck, we will be able to return relative peace to the area, and avoid all out war between the Federation and the Star Empire.

In order to be eligible for the SIM OF THE MONTH award, a sim must meet the following criteria:
Member of AQSG for 3 months |
Sim is older than 3 months |
Sim contains 4 active members |
Monthly average of 15 posts. | We will notify the GM of Canididate Sims at least a week prior to issuing the award for information.
